Request for a street light repair

For street lights attached to BC Hydro poles, typically wooden poles, submit a repair request by completing this form. You can also submit a repair request by contacting us at 1 800 BCHYDRO (1 800 224 9376). We’re available Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 If the street lights are not attached to BC Hydro poles, typically metal poles, contact your local municipality, city, regional district, Ministry of Transportation or Indigenous community office.

If your request is about a new street light, removal or modification, you’ll need to contact your city, regional district, Ministry of Transportation or Indigenous community office.

If street light is on a metal pole, please contact your local municipality, city, regional district, Ministry of Transportation or Indigenous community office to submit  a request.   

Indicate the address, description of the location, or the nearest cross street on where to find the pole. It is helpful for us to know which side the light is on (east, west, north, or south), or the number of lights from the closest cross street (e.g. second pole south of Taylor and Waverley).
