December 1, 2023 – We’ve launched a new $200 rebate for an EV power management device if it’s needed to avoid electrical upgrades when installing an EV charger.
October 31, 2023 – The Province of B.C. has approved $6.59M in fiscal year 23/24 funding to re-open the CleanBC Go Electric EV Charger Rebate Program for Homes and Workplaces. We're now accepting applications for all program offers. Funding is limited and will be allocated until it's exhausted.
Rebate offer
Owners or residents of single-family homes, row homes, or duplexes that purchase and install an eligible Level 2 EV charger could receive a rebate of up to 50% of costs, to a maximum of $350.
Smart charger top-up offer
BC Hydro is offering funding of up to $250 for single-family home customers who install an eligible smart EV charger.
If you're having an eligible smart EV charger installed, we'll automatically add the top-up to your rebate.
Eligibility for EV charger rebate
To be eligible for the single-family home EV charger rebate, you must purchase and install an eligible charger and submit your application within 90 days of the charger installation.
