Welcome to the Home Renovation Rebate and CleanBC Better Homes rebate application form

BC Hydro, FortisBC and the Province of British Columbia have partnered to bring you a comprehensive offering of rebates to make energy efficient upgrades in your home.

If you’ve completed upgrades to your home and are ready to apply for your rebate(s), fill out the application form below.

Program updates

July 1, 2024 – For FortisBC customers if you have replaced a natural gas furnace with a dual fuel ducted heat pump after June 30, 2024, apply for your rebate directly with FortisBC at fortisbc.com/homerebates.

Review the following information before you start:

Participants in the CleanBC Energy Savings Program (ESP) or the CleanBC Income Qualified Program (IQP) are not eligible for Home Renovation Rebate and CleanBC Better Homes rebates.

The application may take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. After we’ve collected your contact information, you will be able to save the application. If you don’t finish your application, when you end the session we’ll send you an email that will allow you to return and complete it later. Remember to press ‘Save’ along the way.

If you click on an external link, it will open in a separate tab, so your information will not be lost.

Once you’ve submitted your application, you will receive an email confirming your application was successfully submitted.

Application requirements

  1. Review the general program and rebates terms and conditions, and the individual rebate requirements below, before you get started. Apartments, condominiums, vacation homes, garages, and new homes are not eligible for rebates.
  2. Collect your account number(s) from your utility bills (i.e. BC Hydro, FortisBC, etc.).
  3. Have a digital copy of your contractor invoice(s) and supporting documentation, if applicable, including EnerGuide evaluation(s) documentation available. We must receive a digital copy of your invoice(s) and supporting document(s) if applicable, to process your application.
  4. If you are not the account holder, you and the registered property owner need to fill out the Utility Account Holder Consent Form.

Due to the volume of applications that we receive, applications can take up to 90 days to process. You will be able to track the status of your application once it is submitted. Your patience is appreciated.
