Dual-port stations count as two.

EV Charging Station Advisor

Condos, apartments and workplaces looking to install EV charging stations can get up to five hours of free advice and planning assistance from an expert in EV charging and equipment.

In an initial consultation, advisors will collect information about the location and the occupants' charging needs, and explain different charging options. This is a high-level review, not a substitute for an electrician or electrical engineer. Advisors can also work with stratas and building managers to help them understand EV charging quotes from contractors.

If you require more than five hours from an advisor, they can provide you with additional services at an hourly rate.

Request help from an EV Advisor via email here. COVID-19 update: In-person EV advisor services are currently suspended for the safety of the advisors and our customers.

Single-family home, duplex or townhouse applicants who have questions about the program can email evchargerincentives@bchydro.com.

Charger rebate eligibility

Condos, apartments and workplaces

Condos, apartments and workplaces need to be pre-approved for a rebate. This includes building owners, managers, strata councils, B.C.-registered companies, or other building representatives who are responsible for an eligible condo, apartment, workplace, or building in B.C. Once pre-approved for an incentive, applicants must purchase and install eligible EV charging equipment, and complete applications within four months or by February 28, 2021, whichever comes first.

COVID-19 update: If you have questions about COVID-19's potential impact on your EV charger project timeline, you can email us.
