The application takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete. After you’ve input your contact information, you can save the application and return and complete it later. Remember to select “Save” along the way.
If you select an external link, it will open in a separate tab, so your information won’t be lost.
Due to the volume of applications that we receive, applications can take up to 90 days to process. You’ll be able to track the status of your application once it’s submitted.
You’ll need the following information for each step.
Step 1: Utility providers
Identify your electric utility provider and collect your account number from your utility bill (i.e. BC Hydro or City of New Westminster). If you’re not the account holder, you and the account holder must fill out the utility account holder consent form .
Step 2: Participant information
Provide your contact information and information about the suite where the upgrades were made.
Step 3: Upgrades
Provide information about the upgrade. You’ll need your contractor details, product make and model (for heat pump water heaters) or AHRI number (for heat pumps), and a digital copy of your invoice.
Step 4: Receiving your rebate
Choose how you would like to receive your rebate payment.
Step 5: Review and submit
Be sure to review your application before submitting. Any missing or incorrect information will delay the process. After you submit your application, you’ll receive a confirmation email and will be able to track your application's status.
